Information Vocalizer is a build of the CRACK Vocalizer for NVDA 3.0.2 (All voices). It provides text-to-speech for most aspects of the build with some exceptions such as opening and closing screens, menus, and some notifications. One can also customize the voice that is used for specific applications to be faster or slower than normal speech speed. Details Vocalizer is not stable, but it is fully functional. It speaks most things that are said in chat, but it will usually speak out of sync, and certain words may be cut off. Getting Started To start using Vocalizer after installation, restart NVDA and select Vocalizer from the Tools menu under the Speech category. It may take a few moments for everything to load. Currently you can only use one voice for everything or create custom voices for individual applications. That means if you want to use a different voice for say... Team Fortress 2 compared to other applications, you would have to create an entirely new voice file which you could do by following the instructions below. How to Use and Install an Individual Voice for Vocalizer: 1. Open Vocalizer.exe. 2. Go into the Settings tab and under the Import Voices section, click Add New Voice File and point it towards your .wav/.au/.ogg/.mp3/etc voice file (do not convert to .wav as Vocalizer will do this for you). Then click OK. This can be done as many times as you want, adding new voices or deleting old voices, though it will only use the first voice if you have multiple voices importing. 3. You can now use Vocalizer in whichever way you want. For example, when playing Team Fortress 2, say NVDA+Option+C to select one of your custom voices. You can change through the Settings tab which voice to use for individual applications by clicking "Customize", then under the Voice drop down menu, selecting the voice you want to be used for that application. However, if you do this it will overwrite all previous voices and revert back to the default NVDA voice (unless you choose a different voice). To install new voices after installing Vocalizer 3. 0.2, go into the Settings tab and select Import New Voice, point towards your .wav/.au/.ogg/.mp3/etc voice file, then click OK. Additionally, you can delete voices that are not currently in use by clicking "Remove all" next to that particular voice. Vocalizer was designed for people with low vision who have trouble reading text on screen using screen reader software such as NVDA. This is because the built in NVDA voices are too fast or too slow compared to normal speech speed or actual speech for most applications. cfa1e77820
